Charity Program

Welcome to the 2021 HOKA Run the L Charity Program. We are so excited for the return of this amazing challenge and cannot wait for you to be a part of it. The purpose of the Run the L Challenge is to create a unique virtual platform to kick off the start of a new running season that leads into our favorite Spring race, the Chicago Spring Half Marathon. Your athletes will have the unique opportunity to conquer the entire distance of the famous Chicago L System (131 miles) over a span of 8 weeks.

Becoming a charity partner also comes with its perks. Each charity organization that enrolls in our charity program will receive a registration discount for every athlete that signs up under their charity name. Also, as your charity team grows, you will qualify for additional perks such as comp codes for coaches, social media highlights for your organization on our social media platforms, informative zoom calls with LT staff, and much more.

Step 4: Recruit and grow your team!

Once each step is completed, Life Time’s Program Manager will contact you with your unique code which can be distributed directly to your athletes. Each month, you will receive a report of everyone who has registered using your unique charity code. This will ensure you are aware of your partnership level on a monthly basis.

Partnership Levels

Below are the different levels of charity partnership. Each based on the number of athletes participating under your charity. Final partnership levels will be calculated 30 days prior to the end of the challenge.

Social Media Highlights: As a bonus for your participation, your charity will be highlighted on our social media platforms. These highlights can cover your charity’s mission, your fundraising goals, an athlete shout out, etc. Content must be appropriate and relevant to your charity.

Zoom Call with LT Staff: Our staff members working closely with the Run the L Challenge will connect with your athletes to provide information on how the challenge works and will help answer any questions your athletes may have.

Gift Card Rewards: To be utilized however you see fit. Could be awarded to the athlete that logs the most miles, completes the challenge before any other athlete, or can be used for organizational purposes.

Challenge Box Inserts: Charity group granted rights to provide a branded premium in the finisher package that is mailed to participants. No liquids or paper inserts allowed. Inserts must be pre-approved. Restrictions and deadlines apply.

All charities will receive a single charity code to distribute among their athletes. That code will be valid for $10 off current registration fees for the Run the L Challenge.

*If your charity organization would like to enroll in our bill back option, please reach out to the LT Staff contact information at the bottom of this page.
