CHARITY PARTNERS

Charity running has become an integral part of the Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10K, and we want to continue to your programs and the causes they support. Training for a half marathon is a challenge, and finding the right motivation is a great way to keep it fun and help athletes stay committed.

PROSPECTIVE PARTNERS

Updated program details are currently in the works and will be published soon. If you have any questions, please contact Jeremy Weitzman at jweitzman@lt.life.

2020 OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER

One of our greatest priorities here at Life Time is giving back to the local communities that make our events possible. Our 2020 Official Charity Partner, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), will be accepting valuable donations from our participants through online and in-person registration for the race. In addition, we are excited to partner with MDA Team Momentum as our Official Charity Training Partner.

MDA is fighting to free individuals — and the families who love them — from the harmful effects of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases so they can live longer and grow stronger. Please consider making a donation to MDA or joining their running/walking team today. For more information about the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Team Momentum please visit MDATeam.org.

How can I join the team?
Interested in making your miles mean more? Join MDA Team Momentum! When you join Team Momentum, you dedicate your miles, muscles and personal finish line to freeing families from the harm of muscle-debilitating diseases that take away everyday freedoms like walking, running, hugging and even breathing.

Team Momentum participants fundraise on behalf of MDA and the families that they serve and receive coach supported training, team gear, race entry, personal fundraising webpage and fundraising guidance, a community of support and camaraderie with Mentors and teammates, VIP event weekend amenities including an Inspiration Dinner, private pre-and post-race space with private gear check and bathrooms and on-course support. And of course, motivation from knowing that you’re moving your muscles to strengthen the muscles of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy. Questions? Reach out to Tracy Collings at tcollings@mdausa.org.

How can I donate?
All registrants for the 2019 Chicago Spring Half Marathon & 10k have the option of including a monetary donation to MDA in addition to the sign-up fee. Just check the appropriate denomination box on your online registration form and include the desired amount in your payment. Donations of $5, $10, $25 and $50 may be included with your event registration fee. It’s just that easy!

Not only will you receive a spot on their team, you will receive VIP race weekend amenities, experience their impactful inspiration lunch the day before race day and be cheered on throughout the race course by their families and supporters! Join our fight in saving the lives of those affected by muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases.
